The CAPP program established in 2017 with the passage of Assembly Bill (AB) 617 (Chapter 136, Statues of 2017). AB 617 establishes requirements for community air monitoring and community emission reduction programs to reduce exposure in communities most impacted by air pollution. The State Legislature through AB 617, has appropriated funding to support projects which address localized air pollution through incentive funding in order to deploy cleaner technologies. This workshop is intended to provide background on the AB 617 program and to receive community input on local health concerns and on potential projects that may be eligible for future grant funding.
