The Placer County Clerk-Recorder-Elections Office hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony last week to mark the opening of its new south Placer location in Rocklin. The facility opened its doors to the public on Aug. 14 and serves as the primary location for all Placer County Clerk-Recorder and election services.

CDRA counter hours changed
Our CDRA department is making a change to counter service hours and closing to the public on Fridays. New hours are M-T-Th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wed. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. E-Services and appointments remain available.

Land trust preserves 1,169 acres
Placer County will contribute $910,000 toward the preservation of 1,169 acres in rural Lincoln, helping the county meet goals and objectives outlined in the Placer Legacy Open Space and Agricultural Conservation Program and Placer County Conservation Program.

Board opposes transient release of predator

Road repair contracts approved
Work on 14 miles of road surfacing and asphalt overlay projects is set to begin in the coming weeks as the Placer County Board of Supervisors took action on Tuesday to approve three contracts totaling $6.14 million for road work and storm repair projects in more than 20 unincorporated Placer County locations.

New shade structures for Animal Services
This week, Placer County Animal Services debuted two umbrella shade structures to provide shade and security for dogs, staff and volunteers. Funding for the structures was supported by generous donations from two local dog-lovers.
