New 15-bed board and care facility to open next week in North Auburn
Placer County’s newest board and care facility, dubbed "Lilac House,” is set to open its doors next week. The facility, which offers 15 beds, is set to provide 24-hour non-medical care for individuals aged 18-59 who are unable to meet their own basic needs due to a mental disability.

New plan for mental health services
The Placer County Board of Supervisors today adopted a new three-year plan shaping mental health services through 2026. Developed over the last year with input from more than 700 residents, the plan lays out how Placer’s allocation of state mental health funding will be used to support existing and new programming for the county’s growing population.
