Historic Placer County Courthouse lights up blue and yellow in support of Ukraine

Published on March, 1, 2022

The colonnade of Placer County’s historic courthouse in Auburn was lit blue and yellow last night in support of Ukrainian citizens.

The lights will remain on at all hours of the day and night.

“Placer County is home to many proud Ukrainian-Americans,” said Placer County Board of Supervisors Chair and District 5 Supervisor Cindy Gustafson. “We are proud to stand with Ukraine to show our united support.”

Historical buildings and area landmarks across the nation have been displaying blue and yellow lights in solidarity with all Ukrainians, including the California State Capitol building.
