North Tahoe parking restrictions
Winter parking restrictions around the greater North Lake Tahoe area are in effect until May 1, 2021. Parking along roadway shoulders during this time is prohibited.

Placer Shares Impact Grants
Placer County has designated an additional $5 million of its Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act funding to aid small businesses and nonprofits in the county through a new, targeted grant program called Placer Shares Impact Grants.

Senior citizen series
The Placer County District Attorney’s Office is launching an online senior citizen series to educate residents about issues affecting the senior citizens in the county. The education series is intended to virtually support the DA’s Placer Protect program.

County acquires Tahoe Homekey property
Last week, Placer County completed purchase of the 7 Pines Motel in Kings Beach, a 14-unit motel that will be converted into permanent supportive housing to support those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the North Tahoe region.

Modified public counter services
To help slow the spread of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus, Placer County will again be moving to modified public counter services this week. Essential services such as law enforcement, fire and emergency services, garbage, recycling, water and wastewater will continue.

Placer County and city leaders have united to roll-out a Shop Placer campaign this holiday season. The Shop Placer, Show Love for Local campaign, encourages Placer County residents to shop local whenever possible.
