Each year in February, business owners are requested by the Assessor to file the Business Property Statement (Form 571-L) for all businesses owned as of the lien date, January 1 at 12:01 a.m. for that year.

The Placer County Assessor's Office is pleased to provide online Filing* for Business Property Owners. The Notice and Assessor’s Request to File letter sent around the end of January each year will advise you of the online Filing option and includes your Business Identification Number (BIN). The BIN is essential to preparing and electronically submitting your statement.

*Business Property Online Filing is only available from the end of January to May 7th, or the next business day if the 7th falls on a weekend.
