Placer seeks community input at upcoming permit process improvement workshops in Tahoe City

Published on April 04, 2018

Placer County will host a series of community workshops this month to gather feedback on how to improve the permitting process for commercial and residential project developers - intended to help Placer create a more user-friendly experience and save project applicants time and money.

A series of three workshops, focusing on engineering, building and planning permits, will be held April 18 and 19 at the Placer County Community Development Resource Agency in Tahoe City. County staff and Third Wave Consulting will be present to outline the county’s permitting process and receive the community’s feedback on ways to improve the process.

Engineers, design professionals, consultants, contractors, utility agencies, members of special districts and public agencies, and other interested parties are invited to attend.

“Input from our community is essential to creating a more streamlined, user-friendly permit process experience,” said Community Development Resource Agency Director Steve Pedretti. “Ultimately we want to improve efficiencies for developers so they can keep their projects moving forward as quickly as possible."
