MARTIAL ARTS INSTRUCTORS WHO MADE
CITIZEN’S ARREST WILL BE PROSECUTED
The Placer County District Attorney’s Office has filed misdemeanor charges of battery and false impersonation of peace officers against two Roseville martial arts instructors who made a citizen’s arrest on a teenager whom they suspected of stealing money from the business.
David Gregory Marinoble, 41, owner of the martial arts business, and another instructor, Justin Tyler Ewen, 28, are scheduled for arraignment on April 6.
The criminal complaint alleges that on December 17, the two men falsely represented themselves to be officers of the law and “arrested, detained and threatened to arrest and detain a person.”
The complaint alleges that the two committed battery by unlawfully using force and violence on the juvenile.
