CHARGES FILED IN THE MURDER OF JAMES CARL FORSBERG

The Placer County District Attorney’s Office filed Murder charges against Leah Rachel Tyrna Fischer, 27 years of age and Montie Kennedy-Marshall, 23 years of age, both from Oakland, California. The charges are related to their arrest yesterday by Auburn Police Department for the November 7th, 2016, homicide of James Carl Forsberg. The criminal complaint alleges one count of Murder, with a special allegation of the use of a firearm causing great bodily injury, and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder against both defendants.

Fischer is currently in custody at the Placer County Jail on a no bail warrant. Fisher is scheduled to be arraigned on the criminal complaint tomorrow at 1:30 in Department 13 of the Placer County Superior Court. Kennedy-Marshall is in custody at the Alameda County Jail on a no bail warrant. He is awaiting transfer to Placer County Jail.
