The County Recorder’s Office is responsible for the recording or filing of documents which give constructive notice of transactions relating to real estate and are authorized by law. The County Clerk’s Office issues marriage licenses, performs marriage ceremonies in English and Spanish, and registers confidential marriage licenses.

The Community Development Resource Agency (CDRA) regulates land use and development in the unincorporated area of Placer County.
The County Counsel's Office provides legal representation and advocacy in civil litigation and administrative hearings involving the County and its officers and employees.

The Office of the District Attorney investigates and prosecutes crime, assists victims and survivors of crime, and protects the health and well being of children while deterring juveniles from criminal activity.
